Corinthia Masaruta Resort Competition

This competition was launched in 1998 for an enormous resort in Libya, well before the country was turned upside down by the Arab Spring, and there were big hopes for getting plenty of tourists on the beaches. The project was subdivided into a number of components with a big hotel as anchor and a big real estate of houses and apartments close by. We looked to get views to the sea for as many users as possible and the client liked the submission, and we believe we won. He liked another one too so we ended up sharing the prize, if I remember rightly. However, things didn’t move much further. In addition to our team, Jim Ward, then of deBrant Joyce was the interior designer and Phil Jaffa, then of Cracknel Ferns was the landscape designer. His drawing graces the panel. ACET were the M&E engineers.
