A selection of rehabilitation projects carried out over the past few years

Ribeira Hotel, Porto

The historic Ribeira area of Porto was almost forgotten and becoming derelict when the first phase of the hotel opened in the late 1990's. Even when the extension of the Hotel with 48 new guest rooms began in 2008, little had changed. By the time the this extension opened in 2016, the tourists had truly arrived. The design involved retaining (and in some cases rebuilding) the existing facades of 6 very narrow buildings which face onto two streets, in order to gain another 42 rooms and extensive restaurant facilities. Most of the existing publica reas of the hotel were also refurbished.
