David Sinclair Architects (DSAA) is based in Cascais, Portugal.
We have extensive experience of design in the tourism and leisure sectors. Our projects for the Pousada in Lisbon, the Pestana CR7 Hotels in Funchal and Lisbon, and the extension to Pestana Vintage hotel in Porto were finished in 2015/6. The Pousada for Camara de Lobos in Madeira opened in June 2019. In the meantime we have been working on a series of hotels in West Africa which should open in 2021 and 2022.
Several of our older projects continue to win acclaim such as the Pousada do Porto (Palacio do Freixo) the “Residences” at Vilamoura, Vilamoura Hilton and the Monte Santo Resort in Carvoeiro.
A number of projects for Angola and Moçambique which were completed in 2011/2 continue on hold. We continue to be involved on important master planning projects for the Lisbon area, the Algarve, and abroad. We have been advising companies intending to invest in Portugal, as there is good reason to be cautious in this field.
The site shows a range of our work - both old and new – but obviously our interest is in the future which we hope will bring new dynamics to our practice and our clients.
We aim to provide quality projects which meet the specific needs of our clients, building users and the public in general. We work with a considerable number of Portuguese professionals who provide all engineering and similar input into our projects.
